E’spaza is a convenient store and liquor distributor located in Soweto Mofolo South. From humble beginnings the spaza shop was started in 2007 in a shack with few groceries and household products. With great customer service and professionalism, the business received huge support from people of Mofolo South and white city who walked distances just to buy E’spaza.
During Holidays and Christmas E’spaza would have discounts and holiday gifts which made customers happy. E’spaza was constantly committed in doing community work like giving out groceries to senior citizens who didn’t have enough food and giving out sanitary pads to school girls.

At espaza we authentically care about our community and its development. Espaza has been involved in giving food to the senior citizens of the community who can’t afford it. We also give out sanitary pads to young girls. During holidays we sometimes offer great specials and discount prices on some of the products.

Sipho Phakathi is the founder and owner of E'spaza Convenient Store and Liquor Distributors, he's passion for business started when he was just a young man working in a textile store. Back in 2002 he saw a gap where spaza shops in the township wouldn't have stock that people needed and he noticed how bad the customer service was. He saved enough money to open E'spaza in 2003, he's care for customers, excellent services and having stock that people needed is what set his business aside. His mission was to redefine what a spaza shop is as people would say "you run your business like a spaza shop" meaning it's unprofessional. This phrase does not apply at E'spaza, Mr. Phakathi has a passion for business and professionalism. He believes customers should be served with pride. He's determination and leadership skills took E'spaza to greater heights and he is still going further and plans to expand his convenient store. Mr. Phakathi cares for his customers and his community; he usually gives out sanitary pads to young girls and donate groceries to the senior citizens in the community who can't afford.

Delicious, fresh and creative food at a fair price. Their services is to die for. Love the rustic, innovative and homely decor.
I've had the ribs several times for lunch and it's lekker. I thinks it's smoked which explains why it has such a distinct crispy. The salad are also a winner and it makes a welcome change to have a ribs with salad and not chips.
